3 Ways to Prevent Your Team from Checking Out
Before a Holiday Weekend
As we all look forward to a long holiday weekend to celebrate Memorial Day, some of your team members may be already "on vacation" – checked out mentally. While YOU may be thinking about the short upcoming week with one whole day of lost production. Here are 3 tips to keep your team engaged in peak performance.
Morning Huddles
Open Ended Questions
Celebrate Success
Now go have a fun, long weekend! Grateful to be celebrating a Happy Memorial Day.
Morning Huddles
- Be clear about benchmarks and financial goals and where you will need to accelerate to make up for lost time.
- Remind team to also focus on patient care. (example: review process for great patient hand-offs)
- Be open about the holiday….elevate enthusiasm by asking about team plans for the weekend. Remind and Request commitment to Reach Daily Goals—as a team.
Open Ended Questions
- Review the importance of asking open ended questions of patients. Team members will have a heightened sense of awareness, relating to patients, because listening requires staying focused. Focus produces engagement.
- The added benefit of asking OE questions is learning patient values- a must for case acceptance.
Celebrate Success
- Treat the team to lunch, and gift (gift cards always easy and welcome!) one or more team players for their peak performance (Examples: highest case acceptance, exceptional hand-off, outstanding production, least open time).
- Be sure to THANK your whole team for staying engaged, energetic, inter-active, numbers aware, and patient focused.
Now go have a fun, long weekend! Grateful to be celebrating a Happy Memorial Day.
